It seems like only yesterday we were saying goodbye to spring and welcoming summer. As I write this newsletter, we are fast approaching Labor Day and Fall. My how time does fly!
I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you coming into Club 149 every day and supporting the club. I see the sales are trending up and I could not be happier! Covid forced many Posts around the country to permanently close their doors. Unfortunately, California was hit hardest. We are very lucky to have the doors still open. This can only continue by our legionnaires continued patronage of Club 149. THIS IS YOUR CLUB and I welcome any suggestions that will contribute to the betterment of this Post and its Club.
As many of you are aware, I serve many positions within the community and wear several hats as well, at times I do feel overwhelmed and perhaps spread a bit too thin. It is a blessing that Club 149 has an amazing professional staff that enables me to assist in planning our upcoming Grape Day Fest happening on September 14th in Grape Day Park as well as Serving as Co-Chair of VetFest that will be taking place on November 11th. Ladies, in all sincerity I say I could not do what I do without you! I could not have a better staff and I can never thank you enough!
For those of you who’s smiling faces we have not seen in a while, we hope to see you, your friends and family in the near future. You are sorely missed.
