COMMANDER | JEN HOLDEN

As the fall season settles in, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your continued support and dedication to our post and its mission. October is a special time for us as we reflect on the many ways we can give back to our community and honor the sacrifices of those who have served before us.

I want to thank everyone who joined us for dinner on Sept. 21. The following Comedy Show was a roaring success. We will be hosting a show every quarter! I can’t wait to see the new acts that we will have in the future.

October 4 – Farewell to Chuck Faupel:
Please join us in bidding farewell to our fellow Legionnaire, Chuck Faupel, as he prepares for his move to Wyoming. We will be hosting a going away party in his honor on October 4 at 5 p.m. on the patio. Chuck has been a cornerstone of our post, and his contributions to our mission and community have been invaluable. Let’s make sure to send him off with a warm and memorable farewell.

October 26 - College Night:
The Legion will be hosting its semi-annual College Night, featuring Carl’s Bad Habits. It is a costume party and will be attended by students from Cal State San Marcos. You are welcome to come and listen to the music and dress up.

Lastly, I would like to remind everyone of the importance of mental health awareness, especially as we approach the colder months, which can be a difficult time for many veterans. We encourage you to check in on one another, and if you need support, remember that your Legion family is always here for you.

Thank you all for your unwavering commitment to serving our veterans, our community, and our nation. Together, we continue to make a lasting impact. For God and Country.
