Greetings my fellow Legionnaires,

I can’t believe it’s March already! I am looking forward to the longer and warmer days ahead. This time of year always gives me hope for the future.

The Post is planning some great events over the next few months. We need your help to make these events come off without a hitch. On St. Patrick’s Day wear your “Irish Duds” and come out to the Clubroom for the uniquely St. Patty’s drinks. Our bartenders are going to be creative, and I personally look forward to testing their new concoctions.

If you are not aware, BASEBALL IS BACK!!! I look forward to watching the Padres play while enjoying a social sparkler at the Post. If you were not aware, American Legion Baseball is back too. Many current and past MLB players participated in American Legion Baseball. The 2023 California State Championship Tournament will be held at Jackie Robinson Stadium at UCLA. The Spring course of the California American Legion College (CALC) is being held at Post 43 in Hollywood, from March 17th to the 19th. Legion College is designed for Legionnaires interested in operating a more prosperous and relevant American Legion Post within their respective communities. The course curriculum focuses on management techniques, compliance, collaboration, membership growth, resources, and skills necessary to increase public awareness and visibility of The American Legion’s mission and programs in our communities. I want our Legionnaires to be eager to see some of the things the E-Board has planned for the Post. If you want to know more, please attend the Post Meeting held on the third Tuesday of every month. This month’s meeting is March 21, 2023, at 6:00 PM.
