Here we are, three months into the year, and things are about to heat up. After a colder and wetter than normal winter, it’s time to get out of the house, go for a drive, or do some lawn work and spring cleaning. It’s also time to start planning for those spring and summer events. The Post has hall and patio rentals available, so schedule early to avoid missing out the date you need.
St. Patrick’s Day is on a Friday this year, so come out and enjoy the Auxiliary Dinner and an enjoyable evening at the Post. Also, this month, the Vietnam Veterans of American are sponsoring Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day on Wednesday, March 29th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on the patio. This is great time to come out and mingle with your fellow Vietnam Vets and have a meal at the same time.
The Post is upgrading our social media and web site presence. We will be debuting new landing pages with updated content and information that will hopefully link the Post 149 Legion family together a bit better. Keep clicking those links and see what’s new, and let us know if you have any problems so those can be resolved.
While this is the March newsletter, this is a reminder that Post elections start soon. First nominations for the Post officers are held at the April meeting, and second nominations and elections are held at the May meeting. Don’t just show up at election meetings then disappear for the rest of the year, get involved with Post operations and activities and know what the candidates stand for.
