September Recap and October Announcements

A big thank you to all who participated in the Grape Day Festival!
Your support made the event a huge success. Special thanks to everyone who helped behind the scenes! The comedy show was a hit, and we had a fantastic turnout. Due to popular demand, we’re excited to announce that this will now be a quarterly event. Keep an eye on the calendar for the next comedy show!

Upcoming Events and Farewell Party
Our Clubroom Committee is hard at work planning more exciting events for the Post, and we’ll keep you updated as those dates are confirmed.

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to a vital member of our post in October. Our beloved Post Chaplain, Chuck Faupel, will be embarking on a new chapter in his life. Chuck has been a steadfast presence in our community, offering unwavering commitment and dedication. In recognition of his service, we are honoring him with an Honorary Lifetime Membership to Post 149.
To express our appreciation, we’ll be hosting a Farewell Party on October 4th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Come and show your gratitude to Chuck for his years of service.

October Events

  • 3rd Saturday Dinner: Join us on October 19th for a delicious meal! We’ll be serving Salisbury Steak, noodles, and a vegetable medley. Come out for a great dinner and support the post.
  • Burger Bench Fundraiser: Support the post while enjoying some great food at Burger Bench on Grand Avenue. Stop by anytime from 4:00 PM to closing and mention you’re with the Legion—10% of food sales will come back to the post!
  • Sunday Breakfasts: Don’t forget our weekly Sunday Breakfasts. Come by every Sunday for some great food and camaraderie.
  • Post Cleanup Day: On October 26th, we’ll be having a post cleanup. Join us and help take care of your post—hotdogs and chips will be provided for volunteers.
  • VetFest Parade Volunteers Needed: We’re looking for volunteers to assist with the VetFest Parade on November 11th from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. If you’re available to help, please let us know!
