Due to bad weather and officers being sick we had to cancelled our March meeting.
It is with a heavy heart I am announcing that we will be disbanding Unit 149. Myself, secretary, treasurer and 2nd vice have been in our positions for 12 years. We have lost our Poppy, Community Service and Girls State Chairs due to moving out of state. Myself, Irene Clingman, Arlene Cox have been working to keep these programs going and quite frankly we are burned out. Several ladies have health issues that are limiting the work we have been trying to do. We have 3 wonderful new ladies that have stepped up to help with meals but that’s not enough. We will continue until the new term and then the Unit will close. Please try to attend our April 18th meeting in the conference room at 6pm to discuss the distribution of funds in our treasury. We will continue with our meals and programs until the end of the 2023 term.
Sunday Breakfast on April 2nd our special will be corned beef hash and eggs. Also on the menu is Sausage, ham, eggs any way you like, home fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy with a toast bar, juice and coffee. Come and enjoy a great homecooked breakfast. Because of the District 22 meeting we will be serving in the Clubroom.
Friday April 21st dinner will be Gourmet Burgers and Dogs. Cheeseburgers, mushroom burgers, bacon burgers are just a few of the burgers on the menu. Hot Dogs are going to see some special add-ons too!! Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:00 with Karaoke in the clubroom after dinner.
Keep the donations coming for Camp Pendleton. Thank You to everyone who has donated to this worthy cause. Canned Tuna, Chicken, Pastas, Rice, box Mac & Cheese, healthy Cereals PB&J these are just a few of items needed. Put all donations in the gray bin in the hall, please no expired items or glass jars can be accepted.
Please mark you calendar for April 18th and attend our next Auxiliary meeting, it is an important one.
