COMMANDER | JEN HOLDEN
As we head into spring, I want to take a moment to thank you all for your continued support of JB Clark Post 149. Your commitment and dedication are what keep our doors open and our mission alive, especially as we continue to operate on a shoestring budget.
The reality is that our Post’s financial situation remains tight. Rising costs and limited income mean we need to get creative and stay proactive. That’s why we’re calling on our members to support upcoming fundraisers and help us find sponsors. If you know of any local businesses or individuals who would be willing to donate, sponsor events, or partner with us, please reach out. Every contribution helps us continue to serve our veterans and our community.
This month also kicks off the first round of officer nominations for the 2025–2026 year. I want to personally share with you that I will not be running for a fourth term as Commander. It has been a tremendous honor to serve, and I am grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown me. Now, it’s time to pass the torch and bring in new leadership with fresh ideas and energy.
The open positions for election are:
- Commander
- 1st Vice Commander
- 2nd Vice Commander
- Sergeant-at-Arms
- Two (2) Executive Board positions (two-year terms)
I encourage anyone interested in serving to step up, this is your chance to make a difference, shape the future of our Post, and give back to those who have served our nation.
There are also many other opportunities to get involved, whether it’s volunteering at events, helping maintain the Post, assisting with veterans outreach, or supporting our youth programs. Every act of service counts. When you give your time and talents, you help strengthen our Post and our impact on the community.
Let’s continue moving forward, together. Our strength lies in our unity and shared purpose. For God and Country!
